Who Are We
We are an independent non-profit music publication focusing on upcoming and talented artists. We work with young professionals to guide, mentor and develop their professional skills as a stepping stone into long-term creative careers.
What We Do
We commission young creative professionals to cover stories within the music industry. This lowers the barrier of entry into creative industries by providing paid, real-world experience and a platform for published work.
How We Work for Creatives
Our contributors pitch coverage of gigs/releases, we arrange accreditation and logistics. We help with article framing, invoicing, licensing, and copyrights. Once completed, our team does a final editor pass before publishing with full credit to the creative.
How We Work for Artists
We encourage artists to reach out to us directly. We work with our contributors to arrange coverage, research the artist, and often liaise directly with them or their management for interviews. After publication, we ensure the artist is aware of our coverage.
Why We Do It
Feats. was founded to provide access and build professional careers for its founding members while highlighting artists who hadn't reached mainstream attention. Since then, the original team has used Feats. as a stepping stone into successful freelance careers. We recognise that paid experience is critical for young professionals who cannot afford unpaid work experience.
